This Weird Atlantic Structure Took 200 Years To Build! Would YOU Live There??

This weird thing in the middle of the Atlantic (ok, it’s really just off the coast!) is actually called Fort Boyard, and it took almost 200 years to built!  It was actually started in 1662, but not completed until 1858, and took the efforts of Louis XIV, Napoleon Bonaparte, French King Louis Phillippe, and the king’s architect, who was so trendy he was just called Vauban.

Now, it’s used for the filming of a reality show. We’re not sure how the original designers would feel about that. We just know that this is any cooler than any lighthouse we have seen, and we would love to anchor our boat there and live there! What about you?
